Role Summary

AstraZeneca is looking for a Senior UX Researcher who will play a pivotal role in enhancing the user experience across the company's digital platforms. As a Sr UX Researcher, you will be responsible for leading research initiatives to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations through various qualitative and quantitative methods. This involves designing and conducting user studies, such as interviews, usability tests, and surveys, to gather insights that inform product development and strategic decisions. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers, you will ensure that user feedback is effectively integrated into the design process. Your work will be critical in shaping intuitive, user-centric solutions that align with AstraZeneca’s mission to improve health outcomes globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional leads to identify, prioritize and scope research studies that will inform meaningful design and product decisions. 
• Act as an inspiring leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the users of our digital platforms
• Design and complete end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods, including literature reviews, usability tests, qualitative interviews, surveys, and others, to answer research questions and support design and product decisions
• Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes
• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• Effectively lead and prioritize research plans through ambiguous environments
• Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
• Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs

Essential requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development
• Interest in and experience driving hands-on, primary research
• Experience conducting In-Depth Interviews or Focus Groups and Concept Testing or Usability Testing
• Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives

Desirable requirements:

• Degrees in a human behavior related field
